Insulation Magic! FAQ's

Frequently Asked Questions

If your home is too hot in the summer, too cold in the winter, or if your energy bills are high, your home may need insulation. Our team can perform an energy audit to determine if your home needs insulation.

Most Insulation Services cost between $1 and $4 per square foot. Our pricing depends on the insulation material chosen (i.e. fiberglass, cellulose, wool, etc.), the installed R-Value or thickness (R-5 through R-60), and the installation location (i.e. attic, wall, ceiling, crawlspace). Our free estimate will help you narrow these choices down very fast and easy to help get you the best price for insulation in Charlotte.

No! Most homes in the United States don't have enough insulation and have significant air leaks. Did you know that 9 out of 10 homes in the U.S. are under-insulated? Sealing air leaks around your home and adding insulation are two of the most cost-effective ways to improve energy efficiency and comfort in your home.

R-Value is an insulating material’s resistance to conductive heat flow is measured or rated in terms of its thermal resistance or R-value -- the higher the R-value, the greater the insulating effectiveness. The R-value depends on the type of insulation, its thickness, and its density. The R-value of most insulations also depends on temperature, aging, and moisture accumulation. When calculating the R-value of a multilayered installation, add the R-values of the individual layers.

Installing more insulation in your home increases the R-value and the resistance to heat flow.

We offer top-quality and affordable insulation options including fiberglass, cellulose, radiant barrier, rigid foam, and more. All materials have unique benefits, and our experts can help you choose the one that best suits your home's needs.

Fiberglass insulation is known for its:

  • Excellent thermal performance
  • Fire resistance
  • Moisture resistance, preventing mold growth
  • Excellent soundproofing qualities
  • Long lifespan
  • Cost-effectiveness

 Cellulose insulation offers:

  • Environmentally friendly composition (often recycled paper)
  • Effective resistance to pests
