When old attic insulation needs removal, Insulation Magic plans preparation and new coverage for your Charlotte-area home. Compare replacement with Attic Refresh, which adds fiberglass over suitable existing insulation.
When attic insulation needs removal, Insulation Magic plans the accessible removal, preparation and new insulation together. This option differs from Attic Refresh, which adds fiberglass over suitable existing insulation. Your assessment determines whether removal is necessary.
The sequence is assess old insulation, remove the agreed material, prepare the space, install new fiberglass and check the agreed coverage. Preparation, disposal, air sealing, attic-access insulation and any additional treatment are listed in your proposal. Active moisture or pest concerns should be addressed before new insulation; separate specialist work may be needed.
When the assessment supports removing existing attic insulation, your estimate can combine removal and disposal with new blown-in fiberglass and sealing of separately identified accessible gaps and penetrations. The proposal states the treated areas, selected insulation level, access insulation, baffles and preparation included in your plan. Asbestos and contaminated materials are excluded from the standard removal scope. This differs from Attic Refresh, which retains suitable existing insulation.
Assess accessible conditions → review your written plan → schedule and complete the agreed upgrade → check the finished work.
The agreed attic-floor scope can include vacuum removal of accessible loose-fill material, removal of batts, cleanup and disposal, followed by installation of new fiberglass. We review existing conditions before selecting the new insulation level and quantity.
We check coverage for low spots or voids, preserve ventilation pathways and install baffles where needed. The proposal identifies attic-access insulation, air sealing and any additional preparation. Exterior-wall insulation and asbestos-containing or other restricted materials are excluded from the standard attic-removal scope.
Attic insulation removal and replacement includes removal of the insulation identified in the proposal and installation of new insulation. Attic Refresh adds fiberglass over suitable existing insulation and includes attic-access insulation and quality checks. The assessment determines which plan fits your attic.
Your written proposal identifies removal, disposal, preparation, new insulation and any included air sealing, access insulation or additional treatment. You can review the selected material, R-value and work before scheduling installation.
The diagram shows illustrative low and upgraded depths, not a completed project or a measured R-value. Your chosen product, existing conditions, manufacturer requirements and written proposal determine installation quantities and planned insulation level.
Those conditions need assessment before new insulation is installed. We explain accessible concerns and the proposed preparation; water-source correction, pest treatment or specialist contamination work may require separate services.
Review your comfort concerns, compare suitable options and confirm the work in your written proposal. Use Services to compare our offerings, the Cost Guide to understand pricing factors, or Online Booking to plan your free estimate.
